Cosmetic Gynecology first started hitting the media around 2001 while I first began getting curious about Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Gynecology while visiting my stepdaughter in Los Angeles in 2006. I started seeing billboards and ads in magazines and newspapers that were offering procedures to women that claimed it would enhance sexual gratification. It seemed like every woman on the West Coast knew or had heard of Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation and yet I had never heard of it and I had been an OB/GYN for over 15 years at that time! Once back in Florida, I began researching everything I could on the subject. I realized there were finally solutions for women that had come to me for help and told me in confidence that sex for them was not as good after they had their babies. They couldn’t feel their partners any more. And I didn’t have anything to offer at the time but kegels. I realized what an empowering option this was to offer my patients, so I went back to Beverly Hills and trained at the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of America by the founder and designer of these procedures, David Matlock, MD, MBA in 2007 to become an expert in Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation, Labiaplasty, Vaginal Tightening, Clitoral Hood Reduction and procedures to loosen up and repair scar tissue after childbirth and Intimate Aesthetic Surgery.

In 2008, I left my large group practice of 10 years, stopped delivery babies (which I LOVED for over 20 years!) and opened the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of Tampa Bay & Sarasota at my new private practice, Visionary Centre for Women. In 2013, I furthered my education and training “Advanced Modern Cosmetic–Plastic Gynecology”. In 2017 I wanted to start offering Thermiva® and Majoraplastys so I went out to the expert Dr. Red Alinsod and became a Fellow at the Alinsod Institute of Vulvovaginal Surgery. In 2018 I flew to Paris to study with renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Matt Stefanelli. I make it a point to train with the pioneers!

Cosmetic Gynecology or Intimate Aesthetic Surgery is a group of procedures that are cosmetic in nature and not medically necessary. They are performed to either improve function or appearance or both.
Our procedures are done either in our office or at Carillon Outpatient Surgery Center, a beautiful, state of the arts facility, located directly across the street from our office. These procedures can be combined with other cosmetic procedures (tummy tuck, breast augmentation, etc.). These procedures can also be combined with gynecology procedures since Dr. Hayes is an acclaimed board-certified vaginal surgeon. Dr. Hayes was the first surgeon in the word to combine a cosmetic gynecologic procedure with a robotic surgery.
