The G-Spot Amplification® shot (also called the G-Shot® or GSA) is a shot of a filler type shot in the G-spot (Grafenburg spot). The G-Shot® is a simple and painless procedure performed in Dr. Hayes’ office under local anesthesia. Results can last up to a year and can vary from woman to woman. In a pilot study, 87% of women surveyed after receiving the G-Shot® reported enhanced sexual arousal and satisfaction.
My sex life was already satisfying and I truly doubted that injecting collagen into a tiny spot on the top of my vagina would make it any better. Was I ever WRONG!
Dr. Hayes uses a specially designed speculum to assist in the delivery of a specified amount of filler directly into the G-Spot. This results in a G-Spot about the size of a quarter in width, and one fourth of an inch in height (meaning the projection into the vagina, not outside). It’s important to note the G-shot® is for women who experience inside or “vaginal” orgasms.
Locating your G-spot
What arouses each woman can vary from individual to individual. Many women find that there is a spot inside their vagina that is an erogenous zone for them. If you too have found this area hits the spot, so to speak, no amount of debating whether or not it exists will convince you otherwise. The G-spot is approximately 2 to 3 inches inside the vagina on the front wall, behind your pelvic bone. If you are lying on your back locating your G-spot, your finger will be point up toward the ceiling. If you are squatting, which may be easier, your finger would be pointing toward your front. You will notice a ridged or bumpy patch compared to the smoother vaginal wall. When you are aroused, blood flow to your genitals will make the G-spot easier to find, because it becomes more pronounced.
Before the G-Spot Shot procedure
In the consultation process, Dr. Hayes will educate you on the G-Spot and how to localize it. She will go over risks, complications, and alternatives to the procedure and answer any questions you may have. You will then be in the exam room and after instruction will perform a self-exam to help localization of the G-Spot. Dr. Hayes and her nurse will then come in for the procedure.
During the G-Spot Shot Procedure
You will be positioned on the examination table as if you are getting a PAP smear and Dr. Hayes will do a pelvic exam and measurement of the G-Spot based upon your direction. She will transfer this measurement to a ruler and then a special speculum. The speculum, which has the location of the G-Spot on it will be inserted into the vagina and then a small needle will be used to deliver a small amount of local anesthetic in the area of the G-Spot. Then the collagen or filler product will be injected. After this a tampon is placed (the tampon is to be removed in 4 hours). The entire G-Shot® injection procedure takes approximately 5 minutes.
After the G-Spot Shot Procedure
There’s no recovery time needed. You’re ready to get on with your day! The most common side effect following injection includes scant bleeding from the needle injection site, which will be absorbed by the tampon.
