Reverence for the Healing Arts
Dr. Jennifer Hayes combines her wisdom of 20+ years’ experience to provide passionate, dynamic care for women. Her focus is maintaining women’s vitality, quality of life and self-esteem.
Dr. Hayes grew up in a family that valued the healing arts. Her father, a Pinellas County surgeon and her mother, a nurse, carried a profound respect for the medical journey from illness to wellness that she observed and now considers a great honor to be a part of. At the tender age of seven, she accompanied her father on his rounds and by age 12, she began joining him in the OR to observe surgery.
Dr. Hayes completed her undergraduate degree at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. She graduated, with honors, from Nova Southeastern University Medical School in Miami where she was president of the Women’s Academic Fraternity. Her Obstetrics and Gynecology specialty training were at Riverside Osteopathic Hospital in Trenton, MI. Dr. Hayes received her subspecialty training at a high-intensity, inner-city facility, Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, MI and completed her professional training at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, MI. She moved back to Pinellas County and opened private practice and has been here ever since.
Expert and National Speaker
Dr. Hayes is an expert and national speaker for Vaginal Rejuvenation, daVinci® Robotic Gynecological Surgery, Menopause and Women’s Health Issues.
As an innovative leader, Dr. Hayes was the first benign gynecological surgeon in the area to offer and incorporate da Vinci® robotic assisted surgery into her practice, making her the most experienced benign gynecological surgeon for robotics on Florida’s West Coast! Dr. Hayes is also the first board-certified gynecologist to bring Cosmetic Gynecology to Tampa Bay. She received her training in 2007 in Beverly Hills at the prestigious Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of America by the pioneer in the field, Dr. David Matlock. In 2017 she traveled to Laguna Beach to train with Dr. Red Alinsod and is a Fellow of The Alinsod Institute for Aesthetic Vaginal Surgery. In 2018 she traveled to Paris to study with reknown plastic surgeon, Dr. Matt Stefanelli.
When she finds free time in her schedule, Dr. Hayes enjoys travel and relaxing in the ‘sanctuary of calm’ that she cultivated in her backyard by way of her interest in tropical botanical gardening and love of water. She believes by creating and maintaining beauty in nature, she is applying the healing and nurturing that are components of her medical practice to create her own healthy home environment.
