When a woman desires revisions to a prior labiaplasty, it is a request to create symmetry from uneven or irregular edges, or as a desire to remove more tissue than was removed initially.
Revision consults have steadily increased as more doctors are attempting to perform labiaplasties on an occasional basis. These physicians have little experience and have not had advanced aesthetic labiaplasty training. If labiaplasty is performed by someone who only does it occasionally, it is less likely they can treat the labia with artful precision. Also, some physicians offer labiaplasty who do not have expertise in the vulva area at all.
Of course, the best approach is to choose an experienced cosmetic gynecologic surgeon. Board certified pelvic surgeon and cosmetic gynecologist, Dr. Jennifer Hayes formally trained with world renowned gynecologist, Dr. David Matlock (pioneer of Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation (LVR) and Laser Reduction Labiaplasty), and acclaimed urogynecologist and cosmetic gynecologist, Dr. Red Alinsod, (pioneer of Alinsod majoraplasty, Barbie labiaplasty, and THERMIva®), and world famous cosmetic gynecologist, Dr. Marco Pelosi, to refine her labiaplasty techniques. She has over a decade of dedicated aesthetic labiaplasty experience. Dr. Hayes meets with patients who have not had the outcome they wanted to re-imagine together and recreate the best labial aesthetics.
Dr. Hayes offers Tampa Bay and Sarasota Revision Labiaplasty of the labia minora, majora, clitoral hood reduction, and perineum.
I wanted to have a labiaplasty procedure for two reasons. One, my labia grew long and were pinching and hurting during intercourse. Second, it was unsightly to me and they would hang down and look odd in my bathing suit.
Not only does it look great, but it feels great and doesn’t interfere when having intercourse…
